World Vision
To enable children in the U.S. to overcome the devastating effects of poverty, World Vision works with communities to build a rich network of resources, people, and opportunities that help children thrive. They focus on youth development; providing families with supplies for daily living; developing strong community leaders; and building effective networks of care. Putting more than 50 years of relief and development work to use, last year approximately 100 staff members and more than 6,600 volunteers touched the lives of more than 1.6 million Americans—nearly 60 percent of them children—in 11 struggling urban and rural communities across the nation. Their desire is that every child in America thrives and experiences life in all its fullness. But to achieve that, they need your help. Please visit their Web site to learn more about becoming a World Vision partner as a volunteer or as a donor. World Vision is a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families, and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice. Motivated by faith in Jesus Christ, they serve alongside the poor and oppressed—regardless of religion, race, ethnicity, or gender. Please, give what you can. Don’t almost give. Give.
