USA Freedom Corps
President Bush created USA Freedom Corps (USAFC) to build on the countless acts of service, sacrifice and generosity that followed September 11th, 2001. When he announced USAFC in his 2002 State of the Union Address, President Bush called on all Americans to serve a cause greater than themselves. Over the past four years, USAFC has helped Americans answer that call, and the American people are responding. USAFC has turned tragedy into opportunity, by effectively encouraging and proliferating a culture of service, citizenship and responsibility in America. Visit www.volunteer.gov to find out more about USAFC and find countless volunteer opportunities in your area, tailored to your specific skills and ability to help. But don’t think about getting involved. Get involved. And don’t almost give. Give.
