The Surfrider Foundation
In 1984, the Surfrider Foundation was founded by a group of surfers in Malibu, California who were concerned about local surfers getting sick from polluted runoff and the environmental threats posed by escalating coastal development. Today, the Surfrider Foundation has developed into one of our nation’s premier non-profit environmental organizations. They are dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the world's oceans, waves and beaches for all people, through conservation, activism, research and education. Represented by more than 50,000 members and 60 local chapters in the U.S., the Surfrider Foundation also has affiliations in Australia, Japan, France, and Brazil. Find out more when you visit www.surfrider.org. Volunteer. Become an advocate for the ocean. Or give a donation. But please, don’t almost give. Give.
