Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America
Widely considered to be the principal national substance abuse prevention organization, Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA) connects multiple sectors of larger communities together in order to gain a more complete understanding of that community’s problems. Then, working in concert with one another, community partners are able to organize plans and develop coordinated anti-drug programs to effectively combat the problem. What are these sectors? They include businesses, parents, media, law enforcement, schools, faith organizations, health providers, social service agencies and government. And together they create a “virtual net.” Thus, making it very difficult for drug activity to go unnoticed. This results in a comprehensive, community-wide approach to substance abuse and its related problems. What can you do to help? You can visit www.cadca.org, and learn about CADCA, become a member, strengthen the coalition, and much more. There are many ways you can help so get involved now. And don’t almost give. Give.
